In the week before Memorial Day, Texas-based Clear Channel has told striking Massachusetts's workers - one-fifth of whom as military veterans - they have no jobs to return to because strikebreakers permanently replaced them. On the Friday morning heading into Memorial Day, the strikers brought the issue to Senator John Kerry.Clear Channel Outdoor chose the week of Memorial Day to tell striking billboard workers, including a significant number of U.S. Military veterans employed by the company, that they no longer had jobs. Members of IUPAT Sign Local #391 have been on strike in Eastern Massachusetts since March 19th.
