I WOULD LIKE TO BEGIN BY THANKING YOU FOR SHOWING INTEREST IN OUR WEBSITE
At IBEW local 7, our goal is to bring professionalism, respect, and dignity to all electrical workers in the four counties of Western Massachusetts by; enabling workers like yourself, through Collective Bargaining, to adequately provide for your family; providing continuing education in the latest market technologies, whereby you will be among the most highly qualified wiremen in the country; ensuring that electrical workers are able do their job safely and return home each day. We believe if you're a licensed professional who works hard, you should be treated like it!
Our Journeyman Wiremen currently earn a living wage of $32.41/HR. This living wage has always been intended to pay for families’ everyday, cost of living expenses. It does not, and should not, get taxed by such necessities as family health care and retirement contributions. By definition, Fringe Benefit means “a benefit, such as health insurance or retirement contribution, paid on an employees behalf, in addition to salary or wages”.
The IBEW realizes many non-unionized electrical workers are not getting a fair shake by their employers. At Local 7, we want to assist you in being recognized and treated like the licensed professional you are. We strongly encourage you to read the organizing link on our website to learn more about the benefits of the IBEW.
Communication with all electrical workers in Western Massachusetts is very important to us. Please don’t hesitate to contact our office for membership inquiries and/or assistance in addressing your current employment conditions.
Sincerely,
