SPRINGFIELD EMPLOYER ORDINANCE: 1st OF ITS KIND ORDINANCE IN THE COMMONWEALTHSPRINGFIELD EMPLOYER ORDINANCE: 1st OF ITS KIND ORDINANCE IN THE COMMONWEALTH On Tuesday, August 11th, 2009, Mayor Sarno signed into Law the first of it's kind Employer Ordinance and Residency Clause for the City of Springfield, replacing an outdated and ineffective ordinance. In support of this signing were City Councillors Tim Rooke and Bud Williams, who both worked dilligently with the Building Trades and members of the community in drafting this importance ordinance. Many thanks to all involved in bringing this historic ordinance into fruition.
